Box Design For Industrial parts, tools, hardware and more
The client have gone a far way ahead to improve product performance by from material upgrading to functional improvements. So they are having a new problem: Their current packaging is not convincing to buyers in the store front. They are losing the chances to get users try out the improved parts.
Through some question and answer talking, we have found out the most direct buyers are the contractors who build the entire air conditioning system for offices, shops etc. The biggest concern that is affecting the buying decision is the reliability ( life cycle ) of the parts. The package design must be visually and physically convincing of bold hard reliability.
The second finding was that the boxes are usually displayed on the store shelves vertically -- which means the first sight to the buyers are the side cap (the side with maple logo) , instead of the up front face. This is a very important finding, as getting buyers attention can be the critical key of a buying decision.
The third finding was the missing of a professional user's manual, neither was the manufacturer's info found on the old box. Suggesting the client to put a separate manual in the box, there should also be a brief manual on the box itself.
