Visual Identity Design for 2019 Ningbo Tonic Art Exhibition
This is an exhibition curated by Creative Community of Ningbo ( CCNB ). CCNB is an international and multidisciplinary community committed to bring together local creatives and creatives from around the world in Ningbo City. CCNB develops the art scene of Ningbo, showcasing talents and share experiences. In May 2019, CCNB started its first art exhibition themed Ningbo Tonic, where eight artists from eight different countries present their Ningbo vision based on personal artistic and cultural background. Each of them has a different art technique and an unique vision, which makes the exhibition so rich of surprises. |
During the design process, everyone who join the exhibition had no idea what to make and how the final exhibition is going to look like. It's totally a new exploration, so the initial thoughts were trying to hide something from the letters of the name ( CCNB ), meaning that things will be clear only at the last minute. Then the thoughts came focus on "exploration". There is no one representative for arts - even with the same theme - but every art piece is a new exploration. That thoughts eventually led to the idea of an astronauts' helmet. |
